Here are some photos I took while on a one-day
trip to the Keweenaw Penninsula during early July 1999. Click on them to get the full-size pix -
average size is around 200K, they are in straight uncompressed JPG format for
best resolution.

Storm coming in over Lake Superior, as seen from "downtown" Eagle
Harbor. 7:18 pm 7/7/1999. Note the huge downdrafts - thank God there
were no planes flying in the area at the time.

A firetower or something at Phoenix, corner of M-26 and US-41. It was nice
seeing the flag flying contrasted against the gray sky and green trees. 8:42 am 7/5/1999

Jacobs Falls. Normally a trickle, you can see how much rain had fallen in
the past few days.
Jacobs Falls. Probably my most artistic photo from the whole trip.
A few flowers growing near Jacobs Falls.
The JamPot. A sign I see quite often when driving around the U.P.
The JamPot. No Pear-Spice jelly for me.
View from a roadside park, I think it's called Sand Bay. The "sticky
note" I had on the disk fell off.
As above, only looking in the other direction.
See that hill up there shrouded in clouds? That's Brockway Mountain, as
seen from near Lake Bailey. I asked Emily to marry me at the top of that
hill during a romantic sunset. Oh, and in case you were wondering, she
said yes.
