Richard McHugh came to Canada from County Sligo Ireland, approximately 1835. His first home was in Mara Ontario - Simcoe County near Georgian Bay. There were many McHugh relatives living in Ontario by that time. He became a U.S. citizen on October 2, 1860.
Catherine Cobley noted that her last name is either Petersen or Petersturm. On the Bay County Marriage Returns for 1903, Vol. 1, Page 197, #9438, it notes that her name is "Carrie Peterson".spouse: >Newberg, Andrew (1843 - 1910)
