Catherine Cobley told me that when she was growing up there was a picture of a man in full military regalia in her living room. She was told that it was Anna's mother's brother John Petersen or Petersturm that was in the Swedish military.
1994: Katie Brown noted to me that George Edward Brown's mother was named "Anna Bowden". Could be confused with Emma? Katie also noted that Emma/Anna divorced, and married someone named "Mason" and lived in the Tawas, Michigan area.spouse: >Mason, Walter C. Cause of death was aortic insufficiency for last five tears. Contributory cause was dropsey for past 6 weeks.

Age 74 yr 1 mo 12 d. Born at D. of C. which I presume is the District of Columbia. Married. Occupation: At home. Father: William Bowen of New York. Mother unknown, but born in New York. <P> I was unable to find an obituary although there may be one. THe library in Oscoda had a funeral home index Vol 6 Page 42 for the Evans Funeral Home.
